Everything on VX Diary is published for general information and to help you have better conversations with your own doctor. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment plan.
We are not your doctor. Nothing here creates a doctor and patient relationship, and nothing here should replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your history.
- Never delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here, and never disregard advice you have already been given.
- The perimenopause self-check does not diagnose anything. It helps you see your own pattern and find words for it. Only a doctor can diagnose perimenopause.
- Any guide we publish is a starting point for a conversation, not a prescription. Do not begin any supplement, change your diet significantly, or alter medication without speaking to a doctor or pharmacist, particularly if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, breastfeeding, or taking any medication.
- Personal stories are one woman's experience, not a recommendation. What helped her may not be right for you.

VX Diary is operated by X M Collective FZE LLC, Ajman, United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at hello@vxdiary.com.
Using the site
You may read, print and share our pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not republish our writing elsewhere as though it were your own, use it to train a commercial model, scrape the site automatically, or attempt to interfere with how it runs.
The site is free. We may change, add to, or withdraw any part of it, and we may stop publishing altogether. We will try not to do that abruptly.
Stories and messages you send us
This section matters because the journal exists because of what women send us.
When you send us a story, a question or a topic suggestion:
- You keep ownership of what you wrote. It remains yours.
- You give us permission to publish it on VX Diary and to quote from it in our own channels, and to edit it for length, clarity and readability. You can withdraw that permission at any time and we will take it down.
- We will not publish anything without asking you first, and we will tell you how it will be attributed before it appears.
- You can be anonymous. Entries are published without names by default. If you would like to be named, tell us and we will.
- Please only send what is yours to send. Write about your own experience, and take care with details that would identify other people, particularly family members and healthcare professionals.
- Please do not send us anything defamatory, unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may decline to publish anything, for any reason, and we do not have to explain why.
We do not pay for stories, and we do not charge to publish them.
Our own material
The writing, design, name, logo and guides on this site belong to us or to the women who contributed them, and are protected by copyright. The self-check tool and the wording within it are ours. Please ask before reproducing any of it beyond personal use.
Links to other places
We link to WhatsApp, LinkedIn and occasionally to research and other resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
Specialists
Where we describe or introduce specialists, we are sharing information rather than making a referral or a recommendation of fitness for your particular situation. Any arrangement you enter into with a practitioner is between you and them. Please check their qualifications and registration yourself.
What we can and cannot promise
We work hard to make what we publish accurate and current, and we correct things when we get them wrong. We cannot promise the site will always be available, error free, or that everything on it is complete or up to date. Medical understanding changes.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you keep all the rights the law gives you. Nothing in these terms takes those away.
Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the UAE have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom or the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings there.
